The Trading Journal That Syncs With Interactive Brokers
Stop exporting CSVs every night. QuantLog connects to your IBKR account through Flex Web Service and imports every execution automatically — grouped into real positions, with commissions, assignments and expirations already accounted for.
Automatic IBKR sync, not manual exports
Add your Flex token and query ID once. From then on QuantLog pulls your executions day by day, detects trades you already have, and only imports what is new. Nothing is duplicated, and you can review every import before it is saved.
Multi-leg trades grouped the way you traded them
IBKR reports each leg as its own line. QuantLog links them back into one position — vertical spreads, Iron Condors, butterflies, calendars — including legs opened and closed on the same day, so a day trade shows up as one closed trade instead of four orphan rows.
Assignments, exercises and cash-settled indexes
QuantLog reads IBKR's Ep, Ex and A codes. Assigned puts become stock positions linked to the original option, exercised calls close correctly, and cash-settled index options like SPX and NDX use the real settlement price instead of a misleading $0.00 expiration.
Your IBKR data, your analytics
Once synced, everything feeds the same dashboard: realized and unrealized P&L, win rate by strategy, DTE buckets, monthly calendar, risk profile and capital at risk. Multiple IBKR accounts stay separated, and you can export everything to CSV whenever you want.
Interactive Brokers journal — FAQ
How does QuantLog connect to Interactive Brokers?
Through IBKR's Flex Web Service. You create a Flex query in Client Portal and paste the token and query ID into QuantLog. It is read-only — QuantLog can never place or modify orders.
Can I still import a CSV instead?
Yes. The CSV importer accepts IBKR activity statements and applies the same grouping, assignment and settlement logic as the automatic sync.
What happens if one day fails to download?
QuantLog tells you exactly which dates failed and why, and lets you decide whether to import the days that did come back or cancel the whole sync.
